Where to ski this summer

Current Ski Areas open this summer in the U.S.

1. Arapahoe Basin, Colorado
2. Beartooth Basin, Wyoming
3. Timberline Lodge, Oregon

Arapahoe Basin

Have not skied. I have heard that they stay open late in the year sometimes. Often times this depends on how much snow they have.
Beartooth Basin. Looking up towards Chute 2 and White Wall from the bottom of the ski area

Beartooth Basin

Love this place! Skied for 10-days in a row last summer. The ski area has parking on top, below the road is 1,000 vertical feet of excellence. Steep drops, cornices, moguls and a big air park in the bottom. Beautiful mountains nearby, good car skiing in the area. Fantastic summer ski experience! Open May 24th-July 7th this year. Great skiing, great people, lots of fun! Seeing this mountain, skiing what's around there makes me want to relocate to Montana/Wyoming.
Timberline Lodge October, 2011

Timberline Lodge

The closest ski area to me in the summer. Timberline's terrain in the early part of the summer is underrated. There are some excellent bowl drops and cornices just to the west of the ski area boundary. I enjoyed it very much while at the mountain last weekend. Timberline is also an excellent place to go if you are a racer or park rat. Timberline does an incredible job of grooming during the summer and they keep up with some excellent terrain parks during the summer season. Timberline is open through Labor Day and usually re-opens in mid-October.

Stay Tuned! Mt. Bachelor may be open for a 4th of July weekend ski this year.
